NTFOG170B single-axis fiber optic gyroscope (FOG) operates on the Sagnac principle. Its architecture integrates an SLD (superluminescent diode) light source, fiber optic coupler, photodetector, integrated optical phase modulator, fiber sensing coil, electronic circuitry, and mechanical housing. Inheriting the fundamental design philosophy of traditional FOGs while leveraging mature manufacturing processes, it delivers exceptional advantages: compact size, lightweight construction, low power consumption, rapid startup, and simplified interfaces. This FOG is engineered for medium-to-high precision inertial navigation systems including:Land-based positioning &orientation、Vehicle-mounted north seekers、Airborne attitude and heading reference systems (AHRS)、Marine gyrocompasses.
